Since 1938 Showbiz Christchurch (formally Christchurch Operatic) has been bringing together like-minded people with an interest and passion for musical theatre shows and productions.

Membership of Showbiz gives you the opportunity to join and support an organisation that makes a significant contribution to the performing arts in Christchurch and to gain numerous benefits.

If you have an interest in attending our shows, performing in our shows, or learning about the technical side of putting on a show then you will enjoy being a member of Showbiz Christchurch.

Terms And Conditions

All applications are subject to Showbiz Board approval (at Monthly Board Meeting).

  • Only 30 Below, Spotlight and Limelight paid members have voting rights at AGM and can stand for Management Board elections.

  • Those nominated for Management Board elections must have been a paid member for at least 1 year prior to nomination.

  • For 30 below members, proof of age will be required before $30 tickets can be uplifted. At least one ticket must be for the member.
