Showstoppers: The Showbiz Singers
A fun, relaxed musical theatre singing group!
We know there’s a lot of singing groups out there, but Showstoppers is a bit different!
Focusing only on songs from musical theatre, this will be a short season for rehearsals and performances between May 4th to early August 2025.
It’s a more relaxed, fun singing group, no auditions and lots of our favourite show tunes to belt out!
Showstoppers is ideal for people who have sung in shows before, love to sing musical theatre material and want to be part of a community with a less intensive commitment than being in a show. We’re serious about singing and presenting ourselves well, but the emphasis is on fun and community.
Whilst we don’t hold auditions, numbers are limited and subject to availability. We do need a bit of balance (we can’t have 27 sopranos!) and we aim to fill up the parts on a first come, first served basis.
We’ll advise you of your acceptance to the group as soon as possible and will keep a waiting list too. We are planning on having up to 50 singers.
Rehearsals are on Sundays at Showbiz Studios at 369 St Asaph Street.
Performances usually take place on Sunday’s, however there may be mid-week performances throughout the season (tbc).
You will need to be available for 80% of rehearsals to make the commitment.
