Fiddler on the Roof Senior?
This special adaptation of the nine-time Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, Fiddler on the Roof SR follows Tevye the milkman as he tries to protect his daughters and his way of life from a changing world. Created by Broadway legends Jerome Robbins, Harold Prince, Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick and Joseph Stein, Fiddler on the Roof SR tackles the universal theme of tradition in ways that reach across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion.
Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centres on Tevye, a poor dairyman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to marry off his daughters and instill in them a sense of tradition!
Directed and musically directed by Petrina Chisholm.
Choreographed by Colette Inkster.

What is Broadway Senior?
Recently much shorter versions of major musicals have been released under the ‘Broadway Junior’ label. These have been devised for children to perform in schools or local community theatres and are generally about 1 hour in duration.
Broadway Senior is similar, except that it features those over 55! Tailored to meet the needs of older individuals, these adaptations feature shortened running times and specific production resources, such as bold-fonted and light-weight scripts, in addition to apps that allow performers to rehearse in their own keys, while slowing down tempos during rehearsals.
Broadway senior creates an opportunity for our senior members of society, who may have performed in musicals or choirs in the past, to recapture the magic of performing on stage, connect with a like minded community and stay active in a fun and invigorating way! Participants play all age groups of chararcters, both young and older.
